Parent and family volunteers make game days, tournaments, team events, fundraising, and communication easier for every player.
Team Support
Volunteer Roles
These are the team roles we are looking to fill for the season. Some roles can be shared by two parents.
General Manager
Works with Waxers/YSMHL, the Waxers site, GameSheet/iPad, referee and timekeeper payments, apparel orders, and committee coordination.
Scheduling Manager
Liaises with the Waxers Scheduling Manager, books games, and researches and schedules tournaments.
Team Treasurer
Manages the team budget, payments, and team bank account tracking.
Social Committee
Organizes team events such as a summer event, Christmas party, and year-end party.
Social Media / Videographer
Helps record and share team moments. Video sessions are planned and can be extremely helpful for players to learn as a team.
Team Statistics
Collects statistics for the coaching staff, including shots on goal, plus/minus, scoring chances, and other useful game notes.
Home Game Music
Coordinates music for home games and helps create a fun rink atmosphere for players and families.
Fundraising & Sponsorship Coordinator
Looking for 1 or 2 parents to lead sponsorship and fundraising, coordinate events, keep the team updated on apparel sponsors, and help find team sponsors.

Suggested Priorities
Fill bench staff, co-manager, scheduling manager, and treasurer roles early so core team operations are covered.
Divide manager responsibilities to keep the season manageable for families and volunteers.
Build a fundraising and sponsorship plan early because the team has a significant fundraising goal this year.
